In the most meaningful fixture on the last afternoon of the regular season, Jets and Sharks battled it out in a winner-takes-all match up for sixth spot in the final standings.

The Sharks are currently holding sixth, two points ahead of the Jets, but a victory today would see the Jets move level on point, but would also give them the head-to-head decider. The Jets have jumped into the BBL Championship playoff spots after inflicting a third straight defeat on the One Health Sharks Sheffield, 72-78 at the English Institute of Sport. That result levelled the head-to-head between the teams, with the deciding game to come on the final day of the regular season.

Adam Brown turned in a match-winning performance with 22 points and 7 assists, with Matt Schneck adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. The Sharks were led by a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds from Mike Tuck. [read more]

The battle for a place in the BBL Championship play-offs continues at the EIS tonight when One Health Sharks Sheffield host Cheshire Jets.

The Sharks are seventh in the table with an 11-14 record, while Jets are still chasing the eighth and final post-season spot, and are currently tenth with seven wins from 23 games. [read more]
