As another part of their commitment to sport in the local community, BiG Storage Chester Jets   will be holding an open trial for aspiring local basketball players in the Sports Hall on the Chester Campus of the University of Chester on Sunday 13th July from 13:00-16:00 Head Coach Paul Smith says, “This is a real opportunity for local players who would like to considered for the BBL squad,   as well as those who might be   interested in joining our newly established foundation degree [a co-operative venture between the basketball club and the University] in which they can   combine their studies with playing elite basketball both for the University and the Jets.”

As well as being on the lookout for playing talent on court, the BiG Storage Chester Jets are looking to expand theirCheerleading troupe, known as The Jetettes.   To this end they are inviting potential new members for both their junior and senior troupes for the forthcoming 08/09 season.

The auditions are open to all (from experienced cheerleaders to complete beginners aged anywhere between 7 and 21) and will be held at Total Fitness on Liverpool Road, Chester CH2 1AQ, on Sunday 6th July, between 2.00pm - 4.00pm.   There is no need to book, as anyone interested can turn up on the day!

The Jetettes currently perform at all the Jets home games in the Northgate and also compete nationally in their own right.
