| BiG Storage Cheshire Jets are delighted to announce their latest signing. Matthew Otten, a 6’ 5” shooting guard, has put pen to paper, and passport formalities permitting is expected to join the roster in time for the first round of the BBL Cup against local rivals Everton Tigers at the Northgate Arena on Sunday.
“Make no mistake about it”, says player coach TJ Walker, “this is a big signing for the Jets. He is a powerful player who can defend with intensity, look after the ball, and take the ball to the hoop, as well as pick up points from the perimeter. There is every likelihood that he will make a real impact on this league .”
Matt is Dutch/American, who as a result of his EU passport, does not take up a foreign player spot on the roster. He is a recent graduate of San Francisco State University and has played for the Chico Force in the IBL. While at San Francisco State he averaged 16.5 points per game, while twelve games for the Force produced an average of over 19 points a game.
