BiG Storage Cheshire Jets and University of Chester Launch Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching and Basketball
BiG Storage Cheshire Jets and The University of Chester, in just their first season of working together, have designed a unique foundation degree in Sports Coaching (Basketball) which will be launched at the British Basketball (BBL) finals at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham this weekend (3rd/4th May 2008) Students on the programme will be given a unique opportunity to develop their coaching skills alongside professional coaches and players, and will help out with spreading basketball to schools across Cheshire. The degree course will commence at the start of the new academic year in Autumn 2008 with up to 25 places available. BiG Storage Cheshire Jets Summer Basketball Camp Sunday July 27th - Friday 1st August
This summer sees the 22nd year of The Jets Summer Camp, once again it will be held at three venues in Ellesmere Port utilising a minimum of 7 indoor courts. It is the longest established basketball camp in the UK and more than half our campers return the following year. Regular Camp For campers 11 years and older. Big Man Camp Normally the minimum age is 14 and minimum height 6’4”. This camp concentrates on the special skills needed by players close to the basket - usually the tallest players. The above courses are residential or non-residential Junior Plus Camp For 7-10 years with basketball playing experience Non-residential All camps are from Sunday 27the July at 1400 and then daily (09.00-21.00) until Friday 1st August (finishes at 14.00) except: Junior Camp For 7-10 years who are beginners with little or no basketball experience. This camp is from Monday, 28the July (daily from 09.00-16.00) until Friday 1st August (finishes at 14.00) Places are strictly limited so book early to avoid disappointment. BiG Storage Cheshire Jets are delighted to announce the formation of the Great Sankey Youth Basketball Club in partnership with Warrington Borough Council and Select Leisure.
